Official Server Rules

Atom Task Force (“ATF”) is a community server network operating dedicated Nuclear Option servers, Discord, and related community spaces. We are not Shockfront Studios / Nuclear Option.

See below for the server rules that apply to ATF’s members and to players who participate in activities on ATF’s servers. The canonical copy also lives at atomtaskforce.com/server-rules.

Atom Task Force Official Server Rules

All members are expected to follow these rules at all times. Violations may result in warnings, timeouts, role removal, or bans depending on severity.

ATF is a PG-13 community. Hate speech, racial or other slurs, and similar abuse are forbidden. If you use a slur or other prohibited hate speech on ATF services, ATF may retain records of that conduct (including Steam ID, display name, timestamps, and chat / report evidence) to protect the servers, staff, and other players — enforce bans, prevent ban evasion, and refuse full erasure where community-safety retention applies. See the Privacy Notice and Legitimate Interest Policy.

1. Follow Chain of Command

  • Orders from ATF Command, squadron leads, and instructors must be followed.
  • Disrespect, insubordination, or toxic behavior will result in punishment.

2. PG-13 Environment

ATF is a PG-13 server. That means:

  • No sexual jokes, suggestive behavior, or NSFW content.
  • No gore, extreme violence, or shock media.
  • No hate speech, slurs, racist, or sexist remarks.
  • Mild swearing is okay in moderation — excessive profanity is not.
  • If it wouldn’t be allowed in a PG-13 movie, don’t post it here.
  • This applies to text, voice, memes, videos, nicknames, avatars, custom statuses, and DMs.

3. Respect Privacy — OPSEC Applies

  • Do not share identifying personal information or private DMs.
  • No doxxing, stalking, or baiting sensitive topics.
  • OPSEC applies — no restricted or classified military content.

4. Use Channels Correctly

  • Read and follow all channel descriptions.
  • Stay on topic and post only relevant content.
  • No spam, flooding, or excessive pings.

5. Stay On-Topic — No Politics or Religion

  • Keep discussion focused on ATF, aviation, milsim, and unit operations.
  • No political or religious content, including jokes, memes, images, usernames, avatars, statuses, or indirect references.
  • Even as a joke, this will be removed and punished under Chat Misconduct (Severe).

6. Speak and Act Professionally

  • No yelling, mic spam, slurs, or hostile jokes.
  • Keep voice comms clear, respectful, and focused.
  • You will be removed from VC if disruptive.

7. Follow Staff Directives

  • Staff instructions are final. Do not argue in public.
  • Use tickets to resolve disputes — never escalate in chat.
  • Do not impersonate staff or act beyond your rank.

8. No Unauthorized Events or Promotions

  • No self-promotion, outside recruiting, or advertising without Command approval.
  • Do not host ops, trainings, or servers without permission.

9. Report Problems Properly

  • Use the ticket system to report harassment, cheating, impersonation, or misconduct.
  • Do not confront violators or escalate issues yourself.

10. Respect ATF Culture

  • Be welcoming. Avoid gatekeeping, cliques, or gossip.
  • Do not stir conflict or passively target others.

11. Maintain Mission Discipline

  • Follow all mission and flight lead instructions.
  • No teamkilling, griefing, trolling, or ignoring orders.
  • Mics must be clean of background noise — use push-to-talk if needed.

12. Appropriate Names, Avatars & Statuses

  • No NSFW, political, religious, or offensive usernames, PFPs, or custom statuses.
  • Joke names are fine unless they cause confusion or interfere with ops.
  • Staff may ask you to change inappropriate content.

13. Alt Accounts Are Forbidden

  • Alt accounts used to evade punishment, hide identity, or troll = permanent ban.

14. Conflict Resolution

  • Handle all disputes through tickets.
  • Public drama, vagueposting, or arguing = timeout or mute for all involved.

15. Voice Channel Etiquette

  • Being AFK in VC is fine — being disruptive is not.
  • No loud background noise, soundboards, or off-topic chatter during ops.
  • Push-to-talk is strongly encouraged if needed.

16. No Drama Migration or Harassment

  • Don’t bring drama from other servers into ATF.
  • Do not raid, harass, or troll other communities while representing ATF.

17. Event Participation Expectations

  • Only RSVP to events you actually plan to attend.
  • Chronic no-shows may result in role or roster changes.

18. Respect Training & Instructor Protocols

  • Don’t interrupt training sessions or question instructors mid-session.
  • Complaints about instructors must go through ticket — not in chat or VC.

19. No Public “Mini-Modding”

  • If you’re not staff, don’t act like it.
  • Do not issue warnings, argue rules, or call people out in chat.
  • Report issues privately.

20. No Inappropriate Media or Memes

  • All media must follow PG-13 rules.
  • No sexual, violent, racist, or political memes — even as a joke.
  • Repeated violations will escalate as Chat Misconduct.

21. No DM Harassment

  • Harassment, threats, or inappropriate behavior in DMs will be punished if reported with proof.
  • “It didn’t happen in the server” is not a valid excuse.

22. Zero Tolerance for Harassment

  • Every ATF member is entitled to respect and safety. Harassment, discrimination, or targeting of any member, whether based on gender, sexuality, race, nationality, religion, disability, or any personal trait, will not be tolerated.
  • LGBTQ+ members are explicitly welcomed and protected here. ATF stands with every member of our community, and violations of this rule will result in immediate moderation action.

23. Cheating & Exploiting

  • Cheating, hacking, game modification, or exploiting any unintended mechanics is strictly prohibited in ATF, no exceptions.
  • This includes (but is not limited to): speed hacks, damage manipulation, stat editing, unauthorized mods or scripts, client-side tampering, or intentionally abusing bugs to gain an advantage.
  • Any confirmed instance of cheating or exploiting results in immediate removal from ATF.
  • ATF maintains a competitive and fair environment. Integrity is non-negotiable. Cheating destroys trust, teamwork, and our reputation — and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Appeals Policy

Punishments longer than 24 hours may be appealed in Discord: Appeals channel.

False reports or frivolous appeals may result in permanent loss of appeal access.

Follow these rules to maintain order, professionalism, and respect in Atom Task Force. Stay sharp, stay respectful, stay in the fight.
